John Steptoe COTTON TOTE
In conjunction with the Dallas Children's Theaters 2016–2017 theater season, The Estate of John Steptoe is offering for the first time The Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters T-shirt. The design, taken from the interior of this Caldecott Medal-winning children's book evoking the Cinderella story, as well as the traditional theme of good triumphing over evil.
Mufaro has two daughters, the bad-tempered Manyara and the loving Nyasha, who must pass a series of tests in order for one of them to be considered “a beautiful and worthy wife for the Great King.”The chosen image shows Mufaro between both his daughters Manyara and Nyasha presenting them to the world with pride. The same image was chosen by the Dallas Children's Theater to promote the play.
The shirt sells for $25 plus postage and handling. Sizes are adult extra-large, large, medium, and small.
